Babol Mazanderani:باوول ,Persian:بابل is a city in the Caspian region of Iran, north-east of Tehran and about 30 kilometers far from Sari. It is the chief commercial centre of Mazandaran Province and was once the major trading center of northern Iran. The population is estimated at 204,878 as of 2005.
